In the past, only certified accounting offices could operate on the market. Currently, there is no such requirement. Such a document is not necessary, but it does prove competence. It is worth asking about it.
The insurance of the accounting office and its scope are also important. Every office must have a civil liability policy, but a specific accountant should also have one. It is worth asking whether the policy covers the revenue and expense ledger, social security settlements, and loss of documentation. The amount of possible compensation may also be important.

What determines the price list for accounting services?

The basic factor determining the price of accounting services is the number of documents to be processed per month. Accounting services are often priced in packages: up to 10 documents, up to 100, over 100, or similar.
The second most important factor is the scope of accounting services. Full and simplified accounting are two different worlds. Full accounting is two or even three times more expensive than revenue and expense ledgers.
The accounting services market in Poland varies geographically in terms of prices. Generally, it is most expensive in western Poland and cheapest in the provinces of Podlasie, Lublin, and Podkarpacie.
It is more expensive in provincial capitals and cheaper in smaller towns. It is worth remembering that accounting services do not have to be ordered where the company is located. Many things can be done online, and documents can always be sent by courier.
